When you send a note or request an assessment, we receive what you type into the form: your name, email address, organization, role, and message, along with the choices you make and the page you sent it from.

When you join the list, we receive your email address.

If you are invited into the Cellar, signing in sets a single cookie that keeps you signed in for up to seven days. It is strictly necessary for that page and is used for nothing else.

This site runs no advertising or analytics trackers and loads no third-party scripts. Its fonts and images are served from our own domain.

Notes, assessment requests, and list sign-ups are stored with Loops, the email service we use to receive and answer them. A note or request does not add you to our mailing list; only joining the list does, and every letter includes a one-click way to leave it.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard request information, such as IP addresses, to deliver and protect the site.

We keep correspondence for as long as it is useful to the conversation or required by law, and we remove it on request.

You can ask us what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted by writing to the address below. You can leave the list at any time from any letter.
