Forward-deployed for accounting

A shorter close, with the controls intact.

We build AI into the close you already run (reconciliations, journal review, accruals, and audit evidence), so your team spends the last week of the month on judgment rather than matching.

Where the hours go

  • Matching by hand
  • Journals nobody reads
  • Evidence gathered late
  • Commentary from scratch

What a pod builds

  • Reconciliation agent
  • Journal entry review
  • Accruals and prepaids
  • Close orchestration

What gets measured

  • Days to close
  • Hours spent on reconciliations
  • Manual journals reviewed before posting
  • Exceptions per thousand transactions

I / Where the hours go

What we look for first.

  • Matching by hand

Bank, card, and intercompany reconciliations still run through spreadsheets and tick marks, consuming the same senior hours every month.

  • Journals nobody reads

Hundreds of manual journals post each close. Review is a sample at best, and anomalies surface in the audit rather than before it.

  • Evidence gathered late

Support for accruals, reclasses, and controls is assembled from inboxes and shared drives when the auditors ask, under deadline.

  • Commentary from scratch

Flux analysis and management commentary are rewritten each month by people who already know the answer but must prove it again.

II / What we build

Systems, not slideware.

  • Reconciliation agent

Matches bank, card, and intercompany activity against the ledger, proposes explanations for breaks, and routes only true exceptions to an accountant for approval.

  • Journal entry review

Reads every manual journal against policy, history, and support, and flags the unusual ones, with reasons, before they post.

  • Accruals and prepaids

Drafts recurring accruals and amortization schedules from contracts and open purchase orders, with the source attached so sign-off takes minutes.

  • Close orchestration

Tracks every close task, dependency, and owner in your existing checklist, and tells the controller what will block day three before day three.

  • AP intake and coding

Extracts invoices, matches them to purchase orders and receipts, suggests GL coding from history, and holds anything outside tolerance for a person.

  • Audit evidence binder

Assembles support for each control and account as the close happens, so most of the PBC list is answered before fieldwork begins.

  • Flux commentary drafts

Drafts variance explanations from transaction-level drivers for the team to edit, keeping the accountant’s judgment and the reader’s time.

III / A first vintage

Bank and intercompany reconciliations

First production deployment, Six to ten weeks

A pod connects the reconciliation agent to your bank feeds and ERP, calibrates it on a year of cleared items, and runs it alongside your team for two closes before it is trusted with the first pass.

Judged by

Hours spent reconciling, the share of breaks explained without rework, and reviewer sign-off time, against the baseline taken in the Survey.

An illustration of a first deployment, not a description of a past client.

IV / What we measure

Baselined before we build.

  • Days to close
  • Hours spent on reconciliations
  • Manual journals reviewed before posting
  • Exceptions per thousand transactions
  • Audit adjustments and PBC turnaround
  • Invoice cycle time and first-pass match rate

Set during the Survey and reported every season after.

Systems we work inside

Your stack, not ours.

  • NetSuite
  • SAP S/4HANA
  • Oracle Fusion
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Sage Intacct
  • Workday Financials
  • QuickBooks Online
  • BlackLine
  • FloQast
  • Trintech
  • BILL (formerly Bill.com)
  • Coupa
  • Ramp
  • Excel and Google Sheets

Named for familiarity, not partnership. We integrate with what you already run and recommend new tools only when the work requires them.

V / Guardrails

Where people stay in control.

  • Maker-checker by design

AI prepares; a person approves. Nothing posts to the general ledger without a named reviewer, and segregation of duties survives intact.

  • Thresholds you set

Auto-clearing happens only below materiality and confidence thresholds your controller defines. Everything else is routed, logged, and explained.

  • An audit trail that holds

Every suggestion, source document, and approval is recorded, so the evidence supports your SOX and ICFR testing instead of complicating it.

  • Your ledger, your tenant

Integrations run inside your environment with the narrowest access that works, and financial data trains no model outside your tenant.
